DON'T FALL ASLEEP ON THE JOB

*
THE GOOD GUYS WON, BUT DON'T GET COMPLACENT

by Al Doyle

With a few days worth of hindsight, here is an analysis of the victorious battle for the marriage amendment to the Wisconsin constitution.

Wisconsin Marriage Defenders and others who were involved in the battle were absolutely certain the pro-homosexual crowd would lie early and often while having plenty of money to spend. We were surprised not by how the sodomites met our predictions, but how they exceeded even our expectations.

Fair Wisconsin (the state's leading homosexual advocacy group) spent at least $5 million. That figure became public just before the election, and it's likely that considerably more cash was disbursed in the final few days of the battle. If the sheer volume of TV, radio and print ads is any indication, other pro-sodomy organizations along with well-heeled supporters such as Elton John's $20,000 donation also contributed to the cause. For now, I'll go with an estimate of $7.5 million to $8 million spent on the homosexual side.

That's a big chunk of cash to throw at a mid-sized state (population 5.4 million) such as Wisconsin, but this was no ordinary referendum. In a rare fit of honesty, the sodomites declared that Wisconsin was their highest priority to turn around a 20-state losing streak on amendments that declare marriage to be exclusively between one man and one woman.

Total dollars spent by homosexual groups hardly describes the media onslaught, as most Wisconsin newspapers and TV stations were nothing more than biased homosexual propagandists. The impact of all of the front-page articles, pro-sodomy puff pieces and one-sided reporting was equal to what the sodomites spent on advertising and outreach. The leftist Gannett chain (which owns most of the state's daily papers outside of Milwaukee and Madison) was especially blatant in its devoted groveling to the lavender lobby.

Homosexual activists focused their efforts on the dairy state because they thought Wisconsin offered the best prospects for a groundbreaking win. Instead, the pro-marriage side got 59.4 percent of the vote, a margin exceeded only by South Carolina and Tennessee among the eight states that held similar referendums on November 7.

Having grown up in eternally corrupt Chicago along with having lived in the pit of corruption known as Mexico City, I thought I had seen it all when it came to political trickery. Wrong! Fair Wisconsin ran one of the sleaziest, most dishonest propaganda efforts in American history.

This went far beyond the usual truth stretching found in politics. Fair Wisconsin repeatedly declared that a "no" vote - their desired option - would "keep things the way they are", meant "no gay marriage" and would "prevent activist judges from redefining marriage".

If that was true, then why did every pro-family organization and volunteer work hard to promote voting yes? The sodomites deliberately and successfully spread confusion among voters, and thousands of pro-family Wisconsin residents ended up voting "no", which was contrary to their good intentions and beliefs.

Perhaps the main motivation behind the marriage amendment was to keep this God-created institution out of the slimy hands of morally bankrupt judges. Fair Wisconsin used an Orwellian campaign of blatant lies to claim a "no" vote would accomplish the goal.

Those who understand the utter depravity of sodomy and the sodomite movement weren't shocked by such an intense campaign of planned deception. When one considers how homosexuals justify rampant promiscuity along with practices such as "fisting" (ramming a clenched fist as far up a fellow sodomite's anus as far as possible), is it any wonder that lying comes easily and naturally? As Pastor Henry Vanderbush observed, "There's nothing gay about perversion."

While sodomite spokesmen have been putting the expected spin on their defeat, it's clear that many on that side are discouraged. It's quite possible that the jackals are turning on one another with accusations, spite and blame for the big loss in Wisconsin. When the state's homosexuals decide to hold their next big campaign, they may find it much tougher to get donations based on the results of this referendum.

Despite the unexpected margin of victory, the pro-marriage side could have done a better job in the battle.

By necessity, limited funds (especially when compared to what the homosexuals could spend) for advertising had to be carefully managed and held back until late in the campaign. No argument there, as that was just a wise use of modest resources.

The TV commerical showing young children asking how to define sodomite arrangements such as "two fathers" was superb, as it drove the point home about the perverseness of what the other side sees as normal. That spot should be used in every state with a marriage amendment on the ballot.

Now for the kick in the pants.

The Family Research Institute's widely circulated flyer was a bland, uninspiring piece of literature. The design and layout were so amateurish (constantly changing fonts, bad use of color, etc.) that it looked like a mole from the other side had done the work. The overall tone of the piece was so weak and mushy that it wouldn't have convinced most readers to buy a $10 bill for 8 bucks, let alone to stand against a pack of determined perverts.

In addition, FRI told its supporters to throw out significant numbers of unused flyers. While there is always literature that remains after a campaign, spending large sums on materials without careful planning to keep waste to a minimum is poor stewardship.

By contrast, WMD widely distributed Homosexuality: The Truth, a well-written and hard-hitting flyer by Pastor Ralph Ovadal of Pilgrims Covenant Church in Monroe. This piece of literature thoroughly explains the biblical, constitutional and moral reasons to oppose sodomy, and it includes a concise salvation message that was totally absent in the FRI flyer. How do we know Homosexuality: The Truth is effective?

Countless sodomites and homosexual sympathisers who have read the tract have called Ovadal and left vulgar, hate-filled messages heavy on profanity and threats. Since Pastor Ovadal shreds pro-homosexual arguments and tells the lost to repent of their sins and be converted to Christ, it's no surprise that reprobates despise what he has to say.

What can be said for a totally dedicated person with an incredible work ethic who is unfortunately miscast in the wrong role? That was the fate of FRI's Julaine Appling. She was the media-appointed "leader" of the pro-marriage side, and Appling put forth a non-stop effort to promote the amendment.

Those who have seen Julaine in person know she is an intelligent woman of impeccable manners and graciousness. That's why she was out of place in a take no prisoners public battle. Someone with the toughness and tenacity of a junkyard dog combined with a quick wit when the cameras and microphones are on was needed to take the offensive against the homosexuals. (TG: Julaine, being a woman, should not be the leading spokesman in the battle against homosexual men).

One person - longtime Wisconsin Christian activist Marv Munyon - fills that role perfectly. Let's hope Munyon becomes the main public face and voice the next time the homosexual lobby makes a big push, as he isn't reluctant to throw a verbal knockout punch while debating.

Appling tried hard to inspire the broad group that is loosely described as "Bible-believing churches" to get involved in the effort. From what we saw, churches were largely pacifists in this battle - and the blame shouldn't fall on Appling's shoulders. (TG: Although most of Julaine's work consisted of "preaching to the choir" rather than attempting to change minds and hearts on the issue. Then again, our weak-voiced choir apparently needed to be preached to.)

It's the job of PASTORS - not parachurch groups - to preach and convict their members to stand for righteousness. Sadly, the vast majority of neo-evangelical and evangelical pastors can correctly be described as "evanjellyfish", and that is especially true at megachurches where lowest common denominator theology is the rule. These cowardly hirelings are skilled at dishing out feel-good, inoffensive pablum from the pulpit when courage and bluntness are needed.

This was literally a life and death battle against the sodomites, and neutered pastors treated the amendment with little or no sense of urgency. While some members of these churches put in a good effort to oppose the homosexual agenda, the vast majority snoozed through a time when the could have stood boldly for the Lord and against the forces of evil.

Fundamentalist pastors were also AWOL when it came to urging their churches to take the offensive against Sodom's stooges. WMD distributed literature in 15 Wisconsin cities and small towns. Until the day before the election, we saw absolutely no trace of any other group or church distributing information.

It would have thrilled us to have another church run us out of town because they were on duty, but it never happened. Those in the fundamental camp like to lambast the evangelicals for their watered-down doctrine and growing ecumenism, but they proved to be equally gutless in this battle.

Undoubtedly, some guilty pastors and church members will whimper "Why didn't you tell us?" when they read this critique. WMD members have full-time jobs and families. We don't have tons of time to call pastors, and our efforts to do so in the past have borne minimal results. Whatever hours we could spare were dedicated to exposing lies and spreading truth.

Most importantly, don't people have eyes, ears and brains to discern what is going on? Can't the apathetic learn to stand on their own hind legs and do something without having to be led every step of the way? In this case, the fundies dropped the ball as badly as others who should have been involved in the battle. The vast majority of Wisconsin's fundamentalist pastors did an impressive Barney Fife impersonation. Maybe we should refer homosexuals to your churches, since you don't seem to have the stomach to stand against sodomy.

Pastor Randy King of Wyldewood Baptist Church in Oshkosh is a shining exception to the previous paragraph, as he personally encouraged church members to get in the thick of the battle. Wisconsin churches could use more men of Pastor King's caliber.

Countless Christians worked without fanfare among friends, relatives and co-workers, patiently explaining the dishonesty of the homosexual ads and laying out reasons to vote yes. This kind of personal, low-tech, low cost outreach is where the good guys were especially effective, but it takes more than that to beat back the forces of darkness and perversion.

They may skulk off for awhile, but I guarantee the homosexuals will be back in the future with a "civil rights" amendment or some other proposal designed to legitimize their odious and depraved behavior. The Lord gave us far more than we deserved with 59.4 percent of the vote, but don't assume it will happen next time with the same lackluster effort from our side. (TG: In fact, such a large margin might cause many on our side to get lazy and complacent. Remember, 70% of those under 30 voted 'no', so we have much work ahead, or the sodomites will get their way in the near future.)

When should you start standing against homosexuality? NOW!! Contact WMD to learn about simple, effective and inexpensive ways to combat the sodomite propaganda effort. (TG: You can respond on this blog site to reach us.)

How are a group of hate-spewing Christians 'the good guys?'

Seriously, I thought that Christianity was about forgiveness and love, not whining about those that are different than you. Hypocrites.

Have any of you ever met a homosexual? I doubt it, based on your warped and inaccurate view of them as perverted child-molesters that want to 'force' America to adhere to their normalcy.

Hmm...Trying to force people to their way of view...sound familiar? *cough*christianity*cough*

We don't hate anybody. Quite the contrary, we love you enough to tell you God's truth even if you revile us for it. You'll have to face God some day, and we want that to be a good thing for you. But that can only occur if you repudiate homosexuality and receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour.

Jesus offers the forgiveness you are seeking. But you have to take Him up on His offer.

I have known several homosexuals. Currently I know of two from work. We've had homosexuals attend our church, some for lengthy periods of time.

Of course I've met most of the State's prominent homosexuals at various rallies where both sides were represented.

Christianity cannot be forced on anyone. It is a free will decision to receive or reject Christ.

I see you are another member of the Anonymous family. Do all homosexuals have the same last name? It seems almost all of you are part of the Anonymous family.

I'm agnostic (and straight, dipshit), so that self-righteous christian spew had no effect on me.

You don't hate anyone? *snort*. I'd imagine I'd be fairly upset if someone called me a fairy.

My argument for Gay marriage? I don't really give a crap whether or not they get married. It doesn't affect me. What I DO care about, is the fact that spiteful christians that are horrified that there are other points of view in the world then their own, and want to ban/censor all of them.

Based on my christian upbringing and what I've read of the bible, your god is a prick, so I don't really want his forgiveness. A god that has the power to do anything? Why does Satan 'exist'? Why is there suffering? Why does he allow his 'beloved' children to suffer for an eternity in hell just because they didn't worship him?

Why does he NEED worshipping? Isn't being all-powerful enough? What about all the Native Americans (before Europeans came) that didn't even know the christian religion existed, who worshipped many gods?

Ever wonder why the most educated of us (scientists) tend to lean towards agnosticism and atheism?

My view is that religion is a pathetic human attempt to simplify the universe.

    "zomg!!!teh univers iz endlezz!we r smll n insignfcant!!!o,i no,a god did it!!!!!!!!"

I was going to censor the profanity in the previous post, but when I see the guy called himself a "straight dipshit", in addition to an agnostic (the Greek word for agnostic is "ignoramus"), I thought I'd let his comments remain.

Gnostic means to "know", agnostic means, he "doesn't know". How can I argue with that? He's right.

Notice the comma, mature one. Anyone with a brain would say, "oh, hey, he's calling me a dipshit because I called him a queer!"

And agnostic? Who gives a crap what the Greek definition is?

    ag‧nos‧tic

    –noun
    1. a person who holds that the existence of the ultimate cause, as God, and the essential nature of things are unknown and unknowable, or that human knowledge is limited to experience.
    2. a person who denies or doubts the possibility of ultimate knowledge in some area of study.
    –adjective
    3. of or pertaining to agnostics or agnosticism.
    4. asserting the uncertainty of all claims to knowledge.

    --

THAT is the definition that matters.

It's funny how you ignored everything else I said in the post and instead focused on the time-tested strategy you seem to be a fan of, changing the subject.

It's pretty sad when your defense is Greek translations, calling people queer, and saying that because they posted as anonymous, they must be gay or stupid. Try backing up your crap with actual facts (and NO, the bible doesn't count).

Wow, I've just read some of this blog's recent entries and I can't believe that one person (Tino Groppi) can be so filled with homophobia.

Y'know, the most homophobic people usually are the ones that are secretly struggling against their own homosexuality. For example, Ted Haggard.

P.S. Why the obsession with sodomy? Plenty of gay men don't do it. And plenty of straight couples do engage in sodomy. And what about lesbians?

You can't be taking that website seriously?! Jesus told the woman at the well to give her husband a blow job? Two verses later he asked her for one Himself? Christian pornography is okay? That's not even in the modern versions (yet).

Why do you care, Jesus Christ didn't care enough about it to utter one recorded word on the subject, except for, "Love your fellow man."

Do you "fight" so hard against the rights of others to prove that the desire for manflesh is not strong within you in the middle of the night and early morning? Do you awaken from dreams of men and boys breathing hard with wet sheets?

Why do you care so strongly? We want to know!

Matthew 19:4-5 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them MALE and FEMALE, And said, For this cause shall a MAN leave father and mother, and shall cleave to HIS WIFE: and they twain shall be one flesh?

    Mark 10:6-7 But from the beginning of the creation God made them MALE and FEMALE. For this cause shall a MAN leave HIS father and mother, and cleave to HIS WIFE;

Both passages spoken by JESUS CHRIST Himself, defining marriage.
