18 POINT BLOWOUT VICTORY!!!

*

Despite the $5 million spent by the lavendar lobby,

Despite the polls insisting the vote would be close,

Despite the deceptive TV ads by Fair(y) Wisconsin,

Despite the deceitful phone message from (UN)Fair Wisconsin,

Despite the diligent efforts of the Oshkosh Northworstern and its editors,

The ONE MAN ONE WOMAN marrige amendment PASSED by a substantial 18 point margin. That means homosexuals cannot have their perverted behavior considered a "marriage" in Wisconsin.

Thanks to all who helped spread the truth.

I did love my friend Dan Hoyt's comment in the Northworstern (http://www.thenorthwestern.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061108/OSH0104/611080522/1987):

Daniel M. Hoyt, staff advisor of Conservatives in Action at the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, said he was pleased with the results. Hoyt is state secretary of the Constitution Party of Wisconsin.

"Regardless of the hundreds of thousands of dollars (TG: actually $5 million) by homosexual activists, it was great to see that their money was well wasted," Hoyt said.

One of the most satisfying things about turning back the sodomite assault was doing so in spite of the Northworstern doing all they could to aid the lavendar lobby. All their time, effort, and money invested in a State they thought was their best chance for victory, and the voting margin was still about the same as it's been everywhere else.

How do you beat lying ad after lying ad saying "No Means No Change"?

Easy, having a God who still answers prayers, and a God whose righteousness outweighs wickedness, and being a diligent worker in spreading the truth.

... lol, This site is so full of spiteful XXX its ridiculous. Seriously, what is you people's problem? This is America, land of the free, not America, land of the bigoted Christian. Freedom should not be hampered by religious beliefs.

The bill was misleading, but if anyone actually did ten seconds worth of research, or used their BRAIN, they could figure out what vote would mean what. To say that you guys are any better is plain freaking ridiculous. Like Anti-Gay fundies never did anything bad or dishonest. And the bill wasn't even really misleading in the fact that people would accidentally vote for marriage to remain the same, it was pretty much even on what it could be interpreted as.

Gah, I really can't believe in this day and age, that people can be this pathetic, especially when there are so many other more IMPORTANT problems out there...

On a leaving note, I can imagine you as a seventy-year-old spinster that sits in her rocking chair on her porch, yelling at small children to stay off her lawn, and complaining about how society is going down the drain at bingo.

Feel free to argue with me: fink.myfastforum.org

Voting yes changed the definition of marriage from 'husband and wife' to 'man and a woman', and banned civil unions. Voting no kept it 'husband and wife.'

Lying ad after lying ad, eh? I was more annoyed with the 'vote yes for marriage' crap than I was with anything the horrible, horrible 'sodomites' did.

Are you saying "husband and wife" is NOT "male and female"?

The pro-sodomite side insisted that same sex marriage is already illegal in Wisconsin, so the amendment was not needed.

    Were they LYING about that?

The fact is, neither way the amendment went changed the current law. It simply added it to the Constitution. It made the will of the people tougher for an activist judge to overrule.
