Madison politicians will be taking their oaths of office with their fingers crossed because the Madison city council is speaking with forked-tongues.

MADISON, Wis. - City leaders will vow to uphold the state constitution when they are sworn into office in April, but with a caveat — many plan to add a statement protesting the state's new gay marriage ban.

The city council voted 14-4 Tuesday night to let hundreds of elected and appointed city officials opt to add a statement saying they are taking the oath of office under protest because the amendment "besmirches our constitution."

TG: If they are not swearing to obey the Wisconsin State Constitution as written, they are violating their oaths to the Constitution. Such action used to be called LYING, even TREASON. Such deceitful traitors should be removed from office and tried for treason. Instead, the crooked Madtown council is abetting their treason.

If this is permitted, will anti-gunners be able to add a caveat that they support taking away citizen's weapons? Can someone add a caveat that they oppose free speech or religious liberty? How about a caveat supporting slavery?

If the founders of America were alive today, the best investment locally would be to buy stock in rope. Madison's gallows would be busier than those in Baghdad this week.
